Michael has been calibrating and fine tuning and "hot rodding" television sets as a hobby since 1989; following closely the writings and many articles of well respected TV industry guru Joe Kane. Michael Travels North America as a primary THX and ISF Video Calibration Trainer and Technician!!!

By the early 90's he was operating a hobby business hooking up a/v systems for people and contracting this service to the local department stores and repair shops.

In 1997-98 when the colour analyzing equipment first became available at an attainable price, he maxed out his credit card and took that plunge and thus officially started his life as a full fledged video calibrationist.

In Michael's own words, "I had the slight advantage over others in that I had actually spent the previous 8 years reading and studying up on the theory before I took that plunge. Learning the equipment was a piece of cake.

Although making the capital investment meant that playtime was over."
